That Would Be Enough - September 2026

Welcome to the Pizza Shop!

So, I know when you look at the calendar it's gonna say it's Oct 1. But, if we all choose to pretend, today can still be September 30, maybe even like a Sept leap year and it's Sept 31. Thanks :D

This Month’s Games

Not gonna lie, I was really trying to play games again in September. We got through quite a few on stream but I also had the chance to dive into some games on my own. Let's check em out.

On Stream

Isle of Reveries

Shoutout to Zelda-likes. I backed Isle of Reveries on Kickstarter a while ago and the game finally released! It's like a very old-school Zelda game, think like Oracle of Ages or something similar. I'm having a fun time with it, but it's def a Zelda game in the vibe of it not really telling me where I'm supposed to go lol. So part of stream was just me wandering around areas that I'm not sure I was supposed to be in because I couldn't figure out where I was actually meant to be. It's been a lot of fun so far though!

Toem

Toem is one of my favorite games that I've played in the last few years. It's got the perfect amount of silliness and feel good with a focus on helping people out as you play through the game. Jamal Green did a fantastic job on the OST and the art is just so cute. You should pick it up and take time to experience Toem when you can, and the sequel just released!!

Fowl Damage

So, I've decided that puzzle platformer is one of my favorite genres. There is just something that feels great about figuring out the sequence of jumps and movement that will allow me to complete a challenge. Fowl Damage is a very fun, if a lil strange, entry to the genre. Similar to Leap Year, if you fall from too far of a height in this game, you don't make it. Cause you're playing as a lil egg. There's boss fight sequences and a wild story that's happening in the background. I really enjoyed this game.

Hades II

Mel pulled me back into the fight. I hadn't played Hades II for a couple of months, mostly because I started to get a lil too concerned with how well I was / wasn't doing in the game and it started to be a little less fun. I picked it up for a couple of runs through the Underworld at the end of one of my September streams and man, it's just such a good game.

On My Own

Kabuto Park

Think Pokemon meets summer vacation. In Kabuto Park, you spend time catching bugs that you use to battle the other kids at summer camp. You can level up your gear to try to catch better bugs, explore different areas, and fight your way through the tournament to become the champion.

They put together a really fun wrestling game for the bug battles where you have cards that you play, but your bugs could also just manage to win if they're strong enough. The game is only a couple of hours, but it was a lot of fun!

Lil Gator Game: Dark

I really enjoyed my time with the base Lil Gator Game, it's a really fun exploration into growing up and realizing that things can't stay the same. Also, the fort that they build throughout the game is something that I dreamt of as a little kid lol. In the Dark expands on the game, adding in an entirely new area in the islands, with a villain who's focused on destroying everything that Lil Gator and their friends have built.

The focus this time is on learning how to play with people who do not want to play the same way as everyone else. I thought it took a bit for the story to get where it wanted to go, but it was a good conversation about the influence that people can have on little kids.

My main thing is that I wish there was a map. The area is so big and it was so hard to find where I was trying to go for about 3/4s of my time with the game.

Remembering Your Worth

This is gonna be a lil more personal this month, I think. I've been thinking about this topic quite a bit because I'm settling into new routines and have been learning new things and that can be hard. It is hard to sit in spaces where you are learning, especially now, because it's easy to see how far ahead other people are. But even outside of that, it's easy to think about where you either think you should be or where you want to be and just focus on that. I do that a lot.

My life isn't necessarily where I thought it would be right now. I have really been enjoying learning about barista-ing and I have had a lot of experimenting making different syrups and sharing them with folk. I still really like streaming, but I don't get to do it that often. And there's still a part of me that wishes I could figure out how to get into a better pattern/system for YouTube. Outside of that, it's hard to articulate, I just thought my life would look different (the state of the world is not helping with this lol).

So I've been trying to do things that feel silly to me. Like remembering the things that I have accomplished, or resisting the urge to downplay something if someone else mentions it, or even just small things like appreciating a picture that I've taken. They are small steps but I think they are adding up, I hope they are adding up. I don't really want my part of creating the world that we live in to partially consist of me just feeling like I'm not doing anything to make things better. That I'm not enough for what I want to do. It's hard, but I'm working towards it.

I hope that you can do the same for yourself if you've been feeling the same.

Cinnamon Vanilla Syrup

I have an easy one for ya this month. I've used this syrup in lattes and would also recommend in cocktails, mocktails, and black or hojicha tea. It's very tasty, in my opinion. If you try it, let me know what you think! (I liked having this lil section in the last newsletter, so I'm bringing it back. Shoutout to the homie who made the apple syrup last month, that made my whole week fr).

Ingredients

2 Cinnamon Sticks

1.5 cups of packed Brown Sugar

.5 cups of White Sugar

2 cups of Water

A pinch of salt (look, I know this is an annoying measurement, but it's really just like a lil bit of salt to balance the flavors. Go with the vibes, fr)

2 Tbsp of Vanilla Extract

Directions

All the sugar, cinnamon sticks, pinch of salt, and water go into a pot that can hold all of them. Bring it to a boil and make sure all the sugar dissolves. Bring it down to a simmer and let it simmer for like 10-15 mins. Take it off the heat and once it cools a little, add in the vanilla extract. Stir to combine and then let it cool completely on the counter. Transfer it to a container (you can leave the sticks in or take them out, up to you!). Now you got some cinnamon vanilla syrup!
